Sunday 12 August Open Day Future Students

Offering a range of engaging talks, informative displays and tours of world-class teaching and research facilities, the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences presents an overview of study areas and career prospects in these dynamic disciplines. All schools within the Faculty will be showcasing their programs, with academics and current university students available to answer questions and chat with high school students, families, friends, and anyone with an interest in finding out more about university.

March 15 Ignition: Engineering Sports 16-20 year olds

What do bike helmets, satellite motors and body maps have in common? Associate Professor Richard Kelso will talk about his work in developing the world's fastest road cycling helmet and the involvement of PhD candidate and engineering honours students. Q&A session will follow the presentation with opportunity for informal conversations.

Thursday 5 April Big Day In Career Advisors, IT Teachers & Year 9-12 Students

The BiG Day In™ is an IT careers conference designed by students for students. It is designed for both high school (Years 9-12) and University students interested in careers in technology. Hear leading speakers from companies such as Microsoft, Wisetech Global, Jumpgate VR, Tata Consultancy Services and Novus-Res, talking about the future of technology and how students can get involved in shaping the future.

Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 June Young Women in Technology Experience Female students in years 9 and 10 10 students per school This one-day event (schools select preferred date of the two dates available) introduces female students in years 9 and 10 to future study and career opportunities in engineering, computer and mathematical sciences. The experience includes interactive activities and inspirational talks from women currently studying or working in these fields.
