Anchors on an angle: wall design

Our project is an investigation into the use of angled fibre reinforced plastic anchors within concrete-polystyrene structural insulated panels (SIPs) to improve structural integrity in the design and construction of energy efficient buildings.

The investigation used 3D rendering software to simulate laboratory testing of sample SIPs. The findings produced a number of feasible designs during efficiency testing of the proposed anchored layout. The performance of various designs are detailed with material costs and usage to identify cost-effective solutions.
