Assessing Grouting in Gravel Soil

Grouting is the process of injecting grout material into a soil or rock formation to change its physical characteristics.

Our project assesses the effectiveness of grouting with respect to varying the amount of sand content in gravel soil, as well as the different water-to-cement ratio of grout mixture. The characteristics of grouted samples were determined by assessing the penetration of the grout though the soil and measuring its strength via compression test.
