CICs on aircraft butt joints

This project examined the mechanical effects of Corrosion Inhibiting Compounds (CICs) through the analysis of single-shear butt joint test samples.

Photogrammetric techniques such as Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and Thermoelastic Stress Analysis (TSA) were conducted on the joints, loaded under cyclic conditions representative of typical aircraft operation.
