Heart attack prediction

Heart attack is the most common cause of death in the world. As we know, prevention is better than cure. Analysing the heart aortic system is a method for heart attack prediction. 

The aims for this project are to determine the wall shear stress, strain and deformation of the aorta in order to identify a person's risk of heart attack. The aorta model is achieved by extracting from the CT scan results of a patient. 

This model is refined and simulated through ANSYS software for analysis and interpretation to attain the results. These results identify the locations of the maximum and minimum deformation, wall shear stress and strain. By using these results, we can predict the possibility of a heart attack occurring to a person.
