Making mud for offshore fields

The focus of the project is to design mud (better known as drilling fluids) which is essential during the drilling operation.

The primary purpose of the mud is to transport small pieces of rock from downhole to the surface and maintain the stability of the borehole. The objective of this project is to evaluate and optimise drilling fluids for better well performance. It comprises of comprehensive laboratory testing to delivery information and comprehend on rheological properties of fluids and conducting a cost-benefit analysis.

Based on the outcome, the project would benefit the operator by reducing the cost of the drilling operation.
