Space and Atmospheric Physics Group

Exploring the Earth's atmosphere from the ground up.

From weather and climate, to solar events which affect power lines, radar surveillance, telecommunications and space vehicles. Our research involves the development of new techniques for sensing the atmosphere, ranging from optical methods for imaging the ice crystals within clouds, all the way to the analysis of the outer layers of the atmosphere and the near-Earth space environment through radio wave scattering techniques and modelling.
