Type curves for fractured wells

Tight gas reservoirs are low permeability reservoirs in which the main produced fluid is dry gas.

A tight gas reservoir must be fractured (to improve the permeability) in order to achieve profitable production rates. To analyze production data, rate transient analysis (RTA) are performed. This approach involves considering a constant pressure and a varying production rate. Using this method, several representations of the production profile with its associated period have been developed (also known as production type curves).

This project focuses on testing the applicability of different type curves and development of type curves for production data analysis specifically for fractured tight gas reservoirs. Simulation of tight gas cases were performed by software for testing the different type curves.
