AINSE Winter School Scholarship

The Australian Institute for Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) is offering a prestigious scholarship for students interested in the use of nuclear techniques, across a wide range of disciplines. Students studying disciplines such as archaeology, biology, chemistry, engineering, geology, materials science, medicine, nanotechnology, and physics are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship will fund attendance to the AINSE Winter School which is held at the Lucas Heights Science and Technology Centre (ANSTO) south of Sydney.

If you are interested please contact Prof. Chris Sumby, University of Adelaide AINSE Councillor and email your expression of interest to Chris by the internal University of Adelaide closing date of Wednesday 8th May 2019.

Chris will review all expressions of interest and send the University of Adelaide nominations to the AINSE by their closing date.

Please email your EOI to Chris Sumby at christopher.sumby@adelaide.edu.au

You expression of interest must include the documentation below.

  •  Your academic record; you can download it from Access Adelaide as it does not need to be an official one;
  •  A paragraph or two justifying your interest in the activities of ANSTO, and how you envisage attendance at the AINSE Winter School might progress your future research and career options.
