About CSER

In collaboration with researchers from the School of Computer Science, CSER has been awarded $9.5m in grant funding for the Mathematics Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and Mathematics Hub by Education Services Australia and the University of Adelaide, and for their project 'Closing the Digital Divide for Disadvantaged Students' by the Department of Education and Training.

The Computer Science Education Research centre primarily conducts research into how to scale education opportunities using technology and how to provide online education in the most effective manner.

Currently, CSER has over 40,000 Australian teachers working with CSER and their resources from all corners of the country including very remote communities, with a high participation rate from low socioeconomic status areas and schools with high indigenous involvement.
