With technology revolutionising our world, and more and more devices and systems connecting to the Internet, employers are increasingly seeking graduates with advanced cybersecurity skills to digitally protect customers and assets.

Cybersecurity specialists investigate digital-protection challenges from two opposing perspectives: 1) the attacker’s, looking at how systems are exploited; and 2) the defender’s, considering how to secure systems and respond to threats.

Cybersecurity is highly relevant to most industries. There are a range of careers in Cybersecurity, including roles such as IT security specialist, security engineer, intelligence analyst. People will skills in Cybersecurity may work in industries such as IT and telecommunications, banking and financial services, government, intelligence, defence and law enforcement.

Do you want to study engineering but don’t meet the entry requirements?

We want to ensure that everyone with a passion for engineering can pursue it. If you have not successfully completed the prerequisites to directly enter an engineering degree with us but have an ATAR of 70 or above, you may be eligible for our engineering pathway program. After successful completion of the pathway program, you will have guaranteed transfer into your preferred engineering degree either mid-year or end of year.
