About

Ingenuity – creating our technology future – is an annual flagship event for the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering & Technology, and serves as a platform for students to professionally present their work to a wide range of audiences.

This unique event provides visitors with an opportunity to engage with university students, share in their experiences, and learn more about studying architecture, engineering, science, technology computer mathematical sciences at the University of Adelaide.

Bringing together all the faculty's teaching disciplines across the eight schools under the one event banner, Ingenuity delivers a collective showcase of over 300 student projects, information displays and achievements.

Ingenuity 2022 welcomed over 2,500 attendees, including primary and high school students, industry representatives, University staff and students, and general public. The event is the biggest of its kind in South Australia.

This year Ingenuity will be an in-person event again, while also offering students the opportunity to upload their projects online.

Presentations

High school groups have the opportunity to attend an informative 20-minute presentation while visiting Ingenuity. 

By beginning your your Ingenuity experience with an information session, you'll learn how to make the most of your day at the expo. You'll hear about how to navigate the event, how to vote in the People's Choice awards as well hear directly from our students about the projects they have been working on throughout the year!

STEM Academy and Women in STEM lounge

Ingenuity features our Career Zone and Women in STEM Lounge. At the STEM Academy booth, you can explore the diverse and exciting career opportunities available across science, engineering technology offerings. At the Women in STEM Lounge, you can chat to our current students about what it’s like to study a STEM degree at the University of Adelaide.
